Chojnik Castle – a castle located near Jelenia Góra-Sobieszów, on the top of Chojnik mountain in the Karkonosze Mountains. This mountain rises to an altitude of 627 meters above sea level, and on its south-eastern side there is a 150-meter cliff descending to the so-called Hell Valley.
The trail to Chojnik Castle starts at the parking lot in the Sobieszów district of Jelenia Góra. Walking through the forest, we head towards the summit of Mount Chojnik, passing picturesque views of the surrounding area.
The hike to the castle takes about 1.5-2 hours, depending on the pace and fitness of the hikers. The trail is moderately difficult,
with a length of about 4.5 km and an elevation gain of 450 meters.
At the top, we are greeted with a stunning panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains and the castle ruins, which are a popular tourist attraction in the region.
